  • We know what comes to your mind… “will they believe me?”, , “will my team think I am a traitor?”,, “will this affect my career?”, , “will my report change anything anyway?”
  • It is human nature to be hesitant before taking such a big step . We know that it takes a great courage. We promise confidentiality and protection.
  • Your report is a valuable source of information for KION. Your report allows us to learn about possible violations of law or compliance rules at an early stage. This helps us take timely action to protect you, our employees and the company against damages.

  • There is no limit to what kind of violations should be reported. Any activity or behavior that does not comply with our KION Group values and compliance rules can cause damage. Our employees, supervisors or external parties such as customers or suppliers can be involved.
  • Our moral compass and common sense tell us what compliant behavior is. Stealing is wrong, harming someone is wrong.
  • Have you observed any illegal, unethical, or harmful activities or behaviors? Are you affected yourself or have you witnessed misconduct? Listen to your gut and make a report.

  • If you are not sure how to deal with a situation, whether it is a compliance violation or whether you should officially report the situation – the KION Compliance Team will be happy to provide confidential advice and support you in the official reporting process.
  • To do so, you can contact a KION Corporate Compliance Officer, your local Compliance Representative or a member of the Compliance Committee. You can also send an email to compliance@kiongroup.com

  • If there are reasonable grounds to believe that a violation has occurred, then report it immediately. Evidence is helpful, but not mandatory.
  • Make all documents, you have as a reference, available to KION. Don't leave out any essential information.
  • Don´t conduct any investigations on your own - this is our task.
  • Confidentiality begins with the receipt of the report. You are also obliged to secrecy afterwards!
  • Don't trust that someone else has already reached out! It's up to you!

  • KION prohibits any retaliation against whistleblowers, such as dismissal, leave of absence, demotion, discrimination, harassment or intimidation. Also, whistleblowers have legal protection in many countries.
  • However, anyone who deliberately uses whistleblowing to report false information or information peppered with untruths will have serious consequences, including fines and disciplinary action.

  • To ensure the highest level of whistleblower protection, confidentiality and fair treatment of all parties, use the official KION Whistleblowing channels.
  • KION's central reporting channel is the KION Whistleblowing Tool & Hotline, where reports can be made anonymously in writing or by phone. Only this channel can technically guarantee anonymity. It is up to you to decide which contact details to leave. Reports can be submitted in all local KION languages. Use the link www.kiongroup.com/whistleblowing to reach the KION Whistlebowing Tool and Hotline. Also, look for our „Speak-up“posters with a QR code.
  • If you would like to communicate directly with a central KION function , whether in writing, by telephone or through a personal contact, you can contact employees of KION Corporate Compliance, KION Legal, KION Internal Audit or KION Compliance Committee members.
  • If you would like to contact a person from your entity – your local Compliance Representative will be happy to receive your report or advise you on the reporting channels. Furthermore, there are additional local channels in some entities (local Compliance Committee, Ethics Committee, digital reporting system). To do this, contact the local Compliance Representative, you can also find information on the local intranet or on the website.

  • The processing and documentation of reports follow a predefined and secure process.
  • All reports received are recorded in the digital case management tool. Upon receipt of the report, you will receive a confirmation promptly.Every report received is checked for plausibility by the responsible compliance officer. As a rule, the Compliance Officer will contact you to request further information on the matter.
  • The Compliance Committee assesses the facts of the case and decides on the next steps, usually on the investigative mandate..
  • Every internal investigation is conducted independly, carefully and in accordance with the law. All persons involved receive objective and fair treatment.
  • Once an investigation has been completed, Compliance Committee is informed of the outcome. In the event of confirmed compliance violations, appropriate disciplinary or non-disciplinary measures will be determined and taken. You will be informed of the outcome and the measures taken as well.
  • You can stay in contact with us during the whole process. We will inform you about important steps and, if necessary, obtain the necessary consent. This is especially true if the reported misconduct was directed against you.
